Ive got a 97 Grand Prix GTP Mod list3.4 S/C pulley DHP 1st generation tune Speedbuilt FWI Triple Pillar pod-boost, oil pressure, trans temp Otto racing strut bar Aurora rear strut bar GMPP sway bar Eibach lowering springs GTO spring blockers(rear) LS1 brakes SD hood 18" HP design wheels There might be more I'm forgetting right now but the list above is the obvious.

All good man you will eventually get it all together. I'm wanting to do a turbo setup so bad on the GTP. Once the truck sells I might end up putting the money away to save for a setup. I'm just debating if I want to do this to my dd cause it will start getting beat on alot more.
Then I run into the problem of needing a good built trans, good stall, and a turbo cam to really benefit from the setup(run low 11's or even further). Which puts me back to "do I really want to do all this to a daily". Not to mention the cost of the build after everything is said and done.

turns out i need motor/tranny mounts & suspension before i can do a power adder. gonna be going with kyb shocks & moog springs.
as car guys we can't leave anything alone, so mod the daily. lol.

You will notice a difference for sure just with what you have listed. It should bring some life back to your car. Now that you mention some maintance stuff. I've got a few things I need to do as well to bring some life back to the GTP. Here's my list of random stuff I'm looking at doing before the 66 trip: Shorter dog bones-should pull the engine forward a bit. This should also help since my vehicle is lowered and give me a bit easier access to the rear plugs. Lower Intake Manifold Gasket-slowly starting to leak. And it's never been done. Front windshield needs to be replaced to get rid of the tacky crack that goes from one side to the other. It's more annoying than anything else. A/C only blows ice cold on the driver side. Transmission-it's not liking life right now and the worse is yet to come I'm sure. This is the biggie out of all them since its going to cost around $1700 for this repair and that's not including a Torque convertor. :banghead: With 185K on the odo I seriously doubt the engine/trans mount are still in good shape.(probably have the tranny shop do those while thy are there.)

i've replaced 1 of my mounts..only 3 more to go...about $200 worth.
i have a laundry list of things to do before the 66 cruise too, but i don't think i'm gonna make it.

When I had my GTP I would forget some stuff also. I have a few old pontiacs, a trans am, two catalinas, and now a GTO.

Paul what year GTO did you pick up? I'm already jealous! Well looks like the tranny will be shipped this week. I'm having Turbo Tim do the build. He's the guy that has the TT V6 firebird running 8's in the 1/4. Some new additions will be upgraded clutches, 4340 input shaft, 7/8ths chain, shift kit, and a bunch of other little stuff. The trans should be able to take some serious abuse and hold like a dirty slut till about the 550hp mark. Now, that the trans will be in place it will be time to ditch the blower and put a snail under the hood. Details to come. Looking at probably doing a Cartuning kit with PT-61 turbo. Kinda small, but it will do the job. I'd much rather have the 67.

Leave it to me to have the Bastard year of Grand Prixs. ABS and cruise have to be removed to put on the turbo kit. This sucks! I emailed a guy that has a shop in Houston. /rant The other option is to do a polished Blower setup with an intercooler and a tiny pulley. But I have an aftermarket hood and the blower with the 2" intercooler will cause the hood to not close. Which means I have to hack up the hood along with installing Craddle spacers. FML!
Edit: after researching this a bit more. It doesn't appear to be too difficult. Just need to replace my master cylinder with a non ABS one. Then just re run the hard lines. Still kinda sucks though. Oh well you gotta pay to play.
